Today’s class is designed for baking novices. Well explore flour types, yeast and raising agents before rolling up our sleeves and making a batch of bread rolls and pitta breads. While they are rising, we’ll whip up a batch of crumpets and serve them with a fresh hollandaise sauce. Anyone fancy eggs-benny for morning tea?

Suitable for all level cooks. Children welcome (13 to 16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult free of charge)

To keep costs as low as possible, students are asked to provide the ingredients they need.

Students will receive a lesson plan in advance giving them a clear understanding of the objectives and expectations for the session. Recipe sheets will be provided so that students can take them away and build up a stock of recipes in a folder. Other reference material may also be provided.
