Fasten your seatbelts and roll up your sleeves as we attempt to prepare and cook 3 different types of pastry dough in this fun 4-hour class, suitable for confident beginners and intermediate-level cooks.
These versatile pastries can be transformed into a huge array of mouth-watering pastry-clad delights but during the class, we’ll be focussing on our pastry technique – the final dish (which will still be tasty) is secondary. We’ll be baking jam tarts using shortcrust pastry, sausage rolls from rough-puff pastry and chocolate eclairs from choux pastry.
To keep costs as low as possible, students are asked to provide the ingredients they need.
Students will receive a lesson plan in advance giving them a clear understanding of the objectives and expectations for the session. Recipe sheets will be provided so that students can take them away and build up a stock of recipes in a folder. Other reference material may also be provided.
