We’d all rather be on the beach than in the kitchen, so this term we have a range of classes celebrating quick easy, and healthy dishes in our Summer of Street-food season. Around the world, millions of people are tucking into tasty fast food made on roadside carts and kitchens. Don’t be fooled by the ‘fast-food’ tag – street food can be tasty and healthy. Come exploring with us!

This week we take on the world-famous Asian street-food DimSum. These little steamed or fried dumplings can contain any combination of ingredients and are perfect for gluten intolerances as the wrapping contains rice flour.

Suitable for all level cooks. Children welcome (13 to 16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult free of charge)

To keep costs as low as possible, students are asked to provide the ingredients they need.

Students will receive a lesson plan in advance giving them a clear understanding of the objectives and expectations for the session. Recipe sheets will be provided so that students can take them away and build up a stock of recipes in a folder. Other reference material may also be provided.

Don’t forget – every student also gets complimentary lifetime membership to Ben’s Cookery Club. This online resource gives students unlimited access to:-
